At the Golden Triangle there are magnificent views over the Mae Khong River to the physical triangle made by Burma, Laos and Thailand at the confluence of the Ruak and Mekong River. For a small fee, you can also enjoy the boat ride to view the splendour of the mighty Mae Khong River. (Overnight in Chiang Rai)

Continue on to Mae Sai, the further-most northern trading border between Thailand and Burma, where local lunch is provided. On the return journey stops are made at Akha and Yao hilltribe villages. Return back to Airport Chiang Rai or ChiangMai By van.

Its north and east have a common border with Burma and Laos. Chiang Rai’s climate is generally cool and comfortable, with an average temperature of 24.6c.
